Too cool for more school?
If you’re a qualified motor vehicle, mechanic or mobile air conditioning technician and looking for another string to your bow? Or are you a self-employed mechanic looking to broaden options for your customers?
Taking on the F-gas certification will give the successfully completing candidates a lifetime certificate to satisfy EU requirements for the sector of automotive air conditioning allowing handling of the most common refrigerant types used in modern day vehicles, R134a and 1234YF.
The course is split into 3 parts with
- A theoretical segment covering topics from multiple thermodynamics principles through to environmental impact of the refrigerant chemicals in use
- A practical segment consisting of Health and Safety, inspection and testing and refrigerant handling.
- A two-step test in the mould of an online multiple-choice paper and a practical assessment overseen by a qualified IMI instructor.
The ability for this course to be delivered both by a split of online content and by practical learning based at the employee’s place of work makes this course a winner for both the candidate and the employing company who will always want to have their staff’s attendance levels on site as high as possible.
